Job Title: Paralegal / Legal Executive
Location: Horsham
Hours: Full Time, 9.00am – 5.30pm Monday to Friday (1 hour for lunch)

The role will involve providing a full administrative and executive support function. You will have technical and administrative experience gained in a legal environment. You would have the ability to produce a variety of forms and documents for clients and third parties, extracting the information required from the case file.
​
Successful candidates will have some previous legal experience and ideally performed similar duties within a law firm. You will need to possess excellent typing skills coupled with extensive IT skills (all Microsoft application including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook).
​

Key responsibilities:

Support fee earners
-
Keeping records up to date including using a case management system

Preparing bundles of documents in respect of due diligence and completion

Dealing with queries from clients, agents, clerks and other solicitors
-
Ensuring that compliance rules are followed including managing anti-money laundering documentation
-
Opening new files and dealing with engagement and scoping letters
-
Answering the telephone
-
Organising diaries
-
Making appointments with clients
-
Completing and submitting SDLT forms, Land Registry application forms or Applying for Land Registry documents

Making online submissions at Companies House
-
Dealing with payments to and from the Client account and balancing ledgers
-
Covering reception when required and dealing with post duties
-
Maintaining, closing and archiving files.
You will also provide support to the Fee Earners and your immediate colleagues in the team duties to include assisting others whenever it is evident that a colleague needs assistance with their work load, picking up calls when other team members are away from their desk, participating in cover rota i.e reception and for postal duties.
